the saddest tail of all (or: a tail of such sorrow and woe)

It is with sorrow that I bring you this news. On Wednesday, my friend Sarah (who is an awesome dog groomer) and I made the heartbreaking decision to trim Loki’s tail.

Strangely enough I have no photos showing off Loki’s tail. So all you’ll get is a screenshot of a video. Here you can see how scraggly and long it was. Oh so scraggly. Oh, so long.

And the weird scraggly stringiness in action. Go scraggle, go!

Although it had a beautiful length of plume, it simply had no volume, no fullness, and thus, hung limp and lifeless like a scraggly, long-haired rat. Oh, but it had such length – longer than the hair atop my own head, but often it twisted together to form weird strands of long, strange strings that you could see through.
Such tail envy did he feel over Lumen’s bushy, voluptuous tail, seemingly fluffing out of its own volition. Even Mal, who is distailbled, sported a floofier, more luxurious tail than he,

How could you not feel tail envy over such a magnificent specimen?

And so it was, in an attempt to make him look less strange, that we trimmed the long parts of the tail. I hope this doesn’t give him a complex or something.

It kind of looks like another leg

Will this affect his wind resistance? Make him more aerodynamic??? Decrease his cornering skills!? Only time will tell.

(Really I think it looks way less weird, but it might take some getting used to)
